At Steele’s Travel World, we are committed to protecting your privacy by collecting, using and disclosing personal information responsibly and only to the extent necessary for travel products and services we provide. We respect your privacy and have applied safeguards to your personal information.

How we use your information

Steele’s Travel World is a full service travel agency that provides products and services in conjunction with industry suppliers such as airlines, insurance companies, hotel and car rental agencies, tour and cruise operators and other travel-related vendors. We will collect, use and disclose only necessary information in order to serve our client’s travel requests. These suppliers have offered their assurances that they follow appropriate privacy principles under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Act (PIPEDA). Our primary purpose is to make reservations, issue transportation documents and vouchers, provide information to complete the purchase and to offer our clients updates of specials and promotions. Steele’s Travel World does not sell, share or exchange our mailing and email lists with other businesses.

Protecting your personal information

Steele’s travel understands the importance of protecting your personal information and uses vigorous security safeguards to ensure that your privacy is protected. We have implemented appropriate physical, electronic and managerial security procedures that are appropriate to the sensitivity level of the information. It is our aim to ensure that your personal information is protected from loss, misuse, alteration or destruction. Our staff is trained to collect, use and disclose personal information only as necessary to fulfill their duties.

Destruction of personal information

We will shred paper files and delete electronic data to completely destroy any information. However, we need to retain personal information to be able to recollect history of our client’s travel needs. Also, Government and other external regulatory organizations require that we retain information for specific number of years.

Accessing your information

You have the right to access the personal information that we have on file. We respect your privacy and will modify or remove your contact information from our mailing list and files upon request.  The information and Privacy Commissioner of Canada oversees the administration of the privacy legislation in the private sector.
